Lukewarm

Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.

The word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any twoedged sword. It is a discerner of thoughts and intentions. It is a divider of joints and marrow, and it is a dissector of soul and spirit. 

The word of God is the sword of The Spirit. It will pierce you to the heart, and it will cut you to the bone. The Word is quick and powerful, and it is the Christian's weapon of warfare. 

Do you not know that there is a war going on for your soul? Do you not know, that your enemy, The Devil, is a roaring lion seeking to kill, destroy, and devour you? And unless you are made immovable from Jesus Christ, he already has?

This life is not a game and your soul is hanging in the balance, suspended between eternal destruction and eternal salvation. The Great Word of God is proven. It has stood the test of time established on a mountain of blood, sweat, tears, evidence and Truth. Have you still not read it? This book speaks of punishment, and justice. It speaks of holiness, and righteousness. That the fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That it is a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God-as every one of us will one day fall. That every idle word you have spoken, and every twisted thought you have had, will be accounted for on the day of your judgment. Do you not know these things? Yet like the ostrich you bury your head in the sand?

I don't blame you. You were born into a society that has done the work of The Lord deceitfully. They have held back His sword from blood. They have preached a message of limitless love and gratuitous grace, without ever telling the rest of the story. They love quoting John 3:16, but never get to John 3:36. The rest of the story is this: the sword of judgment is upon your head. And the wrath of God abides on all men. 

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

The contemporary churches of today do not serve The Lord of Glory who was crucified, buried, and rose from the grave. Self-willed and selfishly motivated, they serve a False Christ of their own imagination, who wouldn't offend a butterfly, so their seats stay filled, and the money keeps flowing. They are no prophets, they are profiteers. They are not churches, they are businesses with a cross on the roof, and they are a den of thieves. With smooth speech they pour cliches into your ears and lies into your hearts, deceiving you with kisses-and sugar filled messages. These pastors are not your friend. They are not your guides into heaven. They are your greatest enemy, and the greatest threat to Christianity.

A true friend speaks the truth. The one who cares for you, while you head to destruction will shout a cry of warning, while the false prophet continues to motivate and bless and encourage. No one is coming out of these churches bloodied, wounded, or grieving. No one is being rebuked and chastised for unholy living. No one is being convicted of their sin, and because of that, no one leaves repentant or converted. 

The Word of God is meant to wound us if we are out of line. It is designed to bring you to your knees, awakening your conscience to the reality that God's divine arrows of justice are aimed at you, so that you might be humbled enough to surrender and beg Him for mercy. The Lord is near to those who are of a broken heart, and saves those who are of a contrite spirit. We should be fearful and filled with sorrow for the sins we've committed. We should flee to The Cross as our only hope for salvation. And that should be the resulting effect every time this book is opened up and preached from. That does not ever happen in these churches today. They have become so soft, so pathetic, and so unbiblical, the only way to properly describe it-is Lukewarm.  

Revelation 3:14-19 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked

Are not our fellow Americans like the Laodiceans? Is not our church body so lukewarm? There is a plague in this country. There is a curse upon the land, and judgment is at our door. In this age of affluence and instant gratification, our churches and their people have grown fat, rich, happy and lazy. And as such, they have become an empty vine, devoid of fruit. The flavor has left the salt. The clouds have no water. The talents are covered in mud. This church is altogether good for nothing. Infected with a spirit of complacency and comfortability, they sit on the sidelines and watch, gorging themselves on the filth of the world-while their children are fed as fuel to the fire. Not one of you lifting so much as a finger for The Gospel. And you really think you're saved? 

How blind. How wretched. How miserable and arrogant and foolish can you be? How much hypocrisy do you think the living God tolerate? What does the Lord Jesus Christ say about this church? The Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning and The End.  The first and The Last. In bold red letters, He says I will projectile vomit you out of my mouth. I am disgusted by you. You have no part in me. 

Isn't that a little too extreme? Don't you think you're taking the Words of God too seriously? Why not dial it back a little bit? Why don't we create an environment that's seeker friendly? Let's focus more on the happier verses-we don't want to scare people off!...Let's attract them with sparkly lights. Let's lure them in with hypnotizing music that makes them tingle, and feel so good-they can't wait to come back. We have to be sensible about this! Our memberships are at an all time high! We can't risk the cashflow loss! We just bought a new building! That church is not a product of Jesus Christ-it is a wolf playing dress up-it is the deception and counterfeit christianity of The Devil. It is the seducing marketing strategy of the serpent. 

The Gospel needs no makeover. The wounds of Christ need no cover up. The people don't need pandering, they need preaching. They don't need false prophets spewing lies, they need men of God, speaking the truth without compromise. The Bible is extreme. The crucifixion was extreme. The millions of Christians giving their lives in acts of martyrdom was extreme. Being burnt at the stake, being fed to lions, being decapitated by guillotine, being drowned alive in icy waters, tortured and murdered, and sacrificed for the faith is extreme. If you're not extreme-you've got the wrong faith. You might think you're Christian-but you're not. You might think you see- but you don't. You might think you're going to Heaven, but if you died today, you would go straight to Hell. If you are a lukewarm Christian, you're not saved...you're deceived. 

We do not serve a lukewarm God. And Christianity is not a lukewarm faith. Our God is an all consuming fire. And those filled with The Spirit of God burn with the same all consuming passion. As many as He loves,  He rebukes and chastens, be zealous therefore and repent. 

Hebrews 12:6,11 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

The Lukewarm Church speaks of love and grace constantly, but they do not practice or teach it biblically. Love cannot be separated from truth. And The Word of Truth cannot be compromised, especially when it's hard to hear. That's when we need it most!

True love warns! God's love is shown in correction, and warning, and punishment, the same way a parent punishes their child for misbehaving, or running across the street without looking! It's for their own good. It's for their protection. It's for the saving of their lives! The Lukewarm Church teaches love, mercy, and grace, repeatedly, without teaching holiness, the fear of The Lord, repentance from sin, and hellfire.  Because He cares for us so much, He has done and will continue to do everything He can to prevent our self destruction, without imposing on our free will. And the harsher the warning; the greater the love that's behind it. if it prevents you from going the wrong way, it is the greatest blessing that could ever happen to you. Praise God for a preacher that would break you. Praise God for someone, that while you're driving a car full speed off a cliff, that would jump out and throw a rock at your windshield, to stop you in your tracks. Praise God for that person. That's true love. Hard preaching is a hard rock hitting your windshield, and a sharp sword thrusting through your heart, causing you to hit the brakes, and turn back to safety. Whispering sweet lullabies of love, cheering people on with motivational speeches, only comforts them as they drive headlong off the cliff. If you are not being warned-and if you are not being convicted in your heart-then you have not heard The Gospel. 

You have to know you're broken before you can be fixed. 

You have to know you're lost before you can be found. 

You have to know you're wrong before you can make it right.

You have to know you need help before you can be recieve help

You have to know you're on the road to Hell before you find the way to Heaven. 

You have to be convicted so that you can be converted.

That is True Biblical Godly Love. It presents both the problem, and the solution. A solution without a problem has no value. Grace without repentance does nothing. Love without sacrifice is worthless. Christianity without Holiness is hypocrisy.

bloodless, judgeless, waterless, salvation-less, gospel. 

We have to wake up. It's time to take off the gloves. It's time to sharpen the sword and step to the fight. The churches are asleep--they are blind to The Gospel. Jesus Christ calls it the lukewarm church-and that is exactly what they are. Not too hot. Not too extreme. Not too passionate. Not too cold either, they like Jesus! They like Him "we love Jesus, we sing about Him every sunday! We love those songs! We clap our hands and jump around! We love it! Oh what a wonderful worship service that was! Let us go back next week too! Let us hear those sweet verses from our pastors lovely lips. Jesus loves you! He loves sinners! If you confess with your mouth you are forgiven! Do you seriously believe that nonsense? Please don't tell me you fell for that. This is not a game. This is not a girl scout club. You cannot be saved be saying abracadabra repeat a prayer and poof you go to Heaven. This is a bloody war we are fighting and thousands of souls are falling into hell by the minute. Jesus says that it is better for you to cut off your arm and to enter into Heaven maimed, than for your arm to cause you to sin and you to go to Hell. Where in any church is that Jesus being preached? If you are hearing a message of love without hate-of grace without justice-of God's mercy without mentioning His wrath-You have a Jesus Christ of your imagination, and not The Jesus Christ of the Bible. You have a Jesus of modern invention and not The Jesus of scripture. You have a false gospel. If I am describing the church you go to know this-you are not in a church. You are in a snake pit. Get out of there as quickly as you can before they kill your faith and they kill your soul, poisoning you to death with sugar coated lies and half truths. The gospel is designed to bring sinners to repentance and lead them to salvation. That is what happens when you preach The Word of God without compromise. 

There's a problem in the church today. And the problem is that there is no two edged sword. There is no cutting. There is no piercing. There is no warning. There is no conviction. There is no fear. All you have is this weak, anemic, lukewarm christianity, that is good for nothing. 

Playing contemporary music. Teaching liberal and progressive doctrines, conforming to the times, afraid to offend, whereas The Word of God is the same yesterday today and forever. His word does not change, His message does not change, and His gospel will never change. The cross of Jesus Christ does not change. It is eternal and it will stand exalted forever. You cannot dress it in a colorful outfit. You cannot drown it in sugar. You have to take it all in, without compromise, or take none of it at all.

They will tell you whatever you want to hear, whipping you up into an emotional high, so that you can line their pockets cash. 

Where are the preachers? There are none. There is a famine in the land. There is a famine for the word of God. Not that it isn't available...but it's not being passed on to you. It's not being delivered to you. What's being delivered is an enriched flour that is not from the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a leavened loaf that is poison when consumed and digested. And millions of Christians have eaten it. And they bought into it. What is being sold to you is not the unleavened truth of God. What you are feeding on is the highly processed bleached and enriched flour of 501c politically correct christianity. This is not true food. This is not actual nutrition. This is poison for your soul, and they cover it with artificial sugar and flavors to make it look good. What may feel and sound good to the flesh-is death to the Spirit. What stings and cuts and kills your flesh, this is life everlasting. 

When I look out into society, I see self obsessed people that do not live for Jesus, yet confess Him with their lips. Unrepentant, without prayer, without sacrifice, without the Holy Spirit. Waterless clouds. They have not received salvation. They have not been changed. Everyone says they're saved by grace. A man of God once said; if you're not changed by grace, then you are not saved by grace. And that is absolutely true. If you were not radically changed by Jesus. If you are not completely transformed by The Spirit of God, then you have never received The Spirit of God. You are not saved. If your entire gravitational field of thought does not revolve around Him-You don't know Him. You don't know God. You might think you like Him. You might agree with his wonderful sermon on the mount, as every philosophic mind and moralist on the planet does-that is irrelevant. What is relevant? Do you have The Holy Spirit in you. Is Jesus Christ your God. Is He The Master of your life-personally. I don't care which church you go to. I don't care which pool you were baptised in-that is all irrelevant-throw it to the fire. The only thing that matters is your soul. The only thing that matters is that you go to Heaven. Do you love the Lord with all your being. All your heart and mind. All your strength. Does it show in your thought and in your actions. That's what matters. It doesn't matter where you were born. It doesn't matter what color skin you have. It doesn't matter where you go to church. None of those things can save you. Your culture cannot save you. Your family cannot save you. The celebrity preachers cannot save you. And let me tell you what...the majority of the churches that you are going to are not only not saving you, they're condemning you. Because they are delivering a false, poisoned, leperous, leavened gospel. When is the last time you heard real preaching? When's the last time you were convicted of your sins? 

If you're not being convicted, then you can't be converted. And if you are not converted then you are not saved. If you are not being filled with godly sorrow that brings you to your knees in brokenness and humility before Jesus Christ-you can never be saved. And that is the single greatest responsibility of the preacher and of the church-to deliver the absolute total truth and message of The Gospel, to deliver conviction to your conscience, so that you might repent and be saved. The churches have failed you and their leaders have misled you. They are doing the work of The Lord deceitfully. They have held back the sword from blood for too long. We are in a war. There is a war for your mind and a war for your soul going on ever single day, and these hypocrites won't so much as look at the sword let alone pick it up and swing it at the enemy. The sword must be wielded. The word of God is meant to convict you. It is designed to judge you. Yet in every one of these churches, they sing the anthem of "Judge Not". That is one of the greatest lies and deceptions The Devil ever pulled. You have to judge! You must judge! You must warn! You must convict! Otherwise repentance is not factor into the equation. It doesn't happen if the truth is not preached. 

God hateth the proud. I am speaking as a man who was the most proud, and was crushed to dust by the grace of God, as He orchestrated the perfect circumstance to break me down, so that He could put me back together. This prideful, foolish, sinning, wicked, and detestable creature, which is myself, never would have repented, and never would have been brought to my knees if I wasn't crushed by The Lord. 

Have you not noticed that we live in a broken and fallen world, filled with sin, and evil, and wickedness, and corruption? And that you will reap what you sow?

Do you not realize there is going to be a judgment on your life? And that there will be eternal consequences for your actions? For your sins? That you are going to have to pay for them? 

Do you not know the truth? That there is a way to be forgiven. That your debt has already been paid for? That by the tearing of his flesh, the ripping of his beard, by His suffering, and His sacrifice, and His bloodshed, that He took the punishment upon Himself that you and I justifiably deserve? That by the stripes on the back of God's own flesh, you can be healed? Has no one told you this? 

Have you not yet forsaken this world of depravity that surrounds you, and leaped upon the cross of Jesus Christ as your only hope? For there is no other.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Without conviction there's no conversion.

If that message is not clearly spoken in your church, please know that what you're hearing is not biblical, and it is not preaching. It's pandering. If you're ears are being tickled, if your conscience is being eased, if you're singing and dancing and jumping, and clapping, more so than you are grieving, repenting, learning and growing in the faith, then you are not in a church. You are in the snake pit. You are being seduced by the serpent, whispering sweet lullabies of grace in your ears, choking out what little faith may exist with cheap cliches and subtil deception. These are not men of God, these are agents of Satan. You're in the snake pit and you're being bitten, and poisoned, and put to sleep by this nonsense. You have to run as fast as you can out of the lukewarm church. Jesus Christ says that He will vomit this church out of His mouth. It is a disgusting abhorrence to Him. Do you not know this? Have you not read The book of Revelation? I implore you. Do not perish for lack of knowledge. Do not die because you lack understanding. The Word of God is plain and clear. Read the New Testament all the way through from Matthew to Revelation. And pray as you go. Pray and read and seek Him Every Single Day of your life. Seek the Lord of Glory who alone can save you. Seek the Lord Jesus Christ who poured His blood and His Spirit out for you to receive. Ask Him for forgiveness. Ask Him for the Spirit He speaks of. Confess to Him. Lay it all on the line. Give it all up. I promise you, your pride is not worth it, this life is not worth it, this world is not worth it. You may have another couple years and your dead. Maybe you have five. Maybe ten. Maybe thirty. Then you will be as dead as every man will ever be. And not a single thing you did here will matter. Nothing matters here. What matters is in the Kingdom to come. And if you don't get there, you'll be burning alive in Hell. And you're going to deserve it. And that's the most horrifying part about all of this. You deserve it. I deserve to go to Hell for the evil I've done. I deserve it. Thank God for Jesus Christ.

Where else have you heard this message? I haven't heard it in a single church. They aren't churches. The people in there are hypocrites. They are not saved. They're not. And for the few that may be, if they remain there, they get so watered down over time that they become useless and unfruitful, losing whatever salvation they may have once had.

Do not trust in men, but trust in God. Do not listen to any celebrity preacher, but hear The Word of God. Study it. Chew it. Meditate upon it. Digest it. Consume it daily. It is the engrafted word of God that is able to save your souls. Make it a part of you. Fill yourself with it. Wash your mind in the water of The Word, and be no longer washed in the mire of the world.

It's time to wake up. I don't care if you don't go to work tomorrow-instead spend your day praying and fasting and seeking The Truth from God. This is not a joke. It's better that you quit your job, or spend all your PTO; don't eat, pray, and fast, and read your Bible, and search for Jesus, diligently. He will reveal Himself to you. The Bible says if you love Him you will keep His commandments. And if you keep His commandments, He will manifest Himself to you. Do it. Put His Word to the test. Put Him to the test. I cannot begin to tell you how many prayers He has answered for me. I cannot begin to tell you the different ways my life has changed for the better since He saved me. I am not the same person I used to be. I am different. He changed me. 

Calvinism is a drug that causes complacency in the Church and lukewarmness in the heart.

There is only one way to be delivered from the judgment of God. And that is by turning away from sin and wholeheartedly sprinting into the arms of Jesus Christ. He is the only way. His blood is the only cleansing solvent for sin. It is only by believing in Him and entrusting Him with your soul, by totally surrendering your desires and your life to Him, that you can be saved. You must be filled with His Word and with His Spirit. The same Spirit which raised Jesus from the grave, must live in your heart. 

You have not been properly taught. The preachers are lying. The pastors are anemic. The priests are fallen. There is no longer biblical preaching. There is no swinging of The Sword of God in these counterfeit churches. There is no holiness. There is no fear of God. There is no repentance. And there is no Hellfire.

The gospels speak of these things continually and repetitively, yet not a mention of them are made in modern christianity.

There's a saying that goes, "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times." This aphorism sheds some light on the cyclicality of the human condition, the rise and fall of empires throughout history, and it also applies to the condition of the church. We can see in times of persecution the strongest believers would stare down lions and emperors with all confidence, without fear in the face of death and torture. While on the other hand we can see that great prosperity led to a weakening 

Isaiah 6:9-10 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

The great majority of christians today hear the word of God, but do not understand it. They see with their eyes, but spiritually, they are blind. The biggest problem of the Lukewarm church is that they don't know they're blind! They think they are saved, but they are a disgusting vomit in the eyes of The Lord. They are not saved and will be spewn out into Hell unless they repent, and become zealous. These people aren't even saved. The Lukewarm church does not have the Holy Spirit. They are blind, naked, deaf, and dumb, but they think they are saved! They need to be converted, and they will be healed. They need to repent and receive the Holy Spirit, then they will be zealous, passionate, and on fire for Jesus.

Isaiah 56:10-12 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Mark 10:23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Jeremiah 22:21 I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.

Jeremiah 48:7 For because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity with his priests and his princes together.

Hosea 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.

Deuteronomy 32:14-16 Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.

Jeremiah 5:7-8, 27-28 How shall I pardon thee for this? thy children have forsaken me, and sworn by them that are no gods: when I had fed them to the full, they then committed adultery, and assembled themselves by troops in the harlots' houses. They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed after his neighbour's wife. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.

Judge not-the lukewarm anthem.

Lamentations 2:14 Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

Lamentations 4:12-14 The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem. For the sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the blood of the just in the midst of her, They have wandered as blind men in the streets, they have polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their garments.

Ezekiel 3:17-21 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Isaiah 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

you have to be convicted before you can be converted! 

Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

2 Corinthians 7:10-11, 15 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

Godly sorrow-leads to repentance-which results in the salvation of your soul. That's how you get saved. That's how you go to Heaven. That is how you escape the eternal torment and destruction in Hell. That is how you receive the mercy of God.

Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

Lukewarm church has turned the grace of God into a license to sin. "We're all sinners, saved by grace!" What they have done is taken God's grace and made that the cornerstone of their faith. Instead of Jesus Christ, it's grace. there is no fear in the lukewarm church! 

Romans 11:18-22 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

the lukewarm church is all goodness, no severity. its all blessing, no curse. its all hallelelujah and no hellfire.

The word of God is a two edged sword:

blessings and curses

love and fear

comfort and warning

life and death

grace and justice

mercy and wrath

goodness and severity

sweet in the mouth and bitter in the stomach

When the true Word of God is preached, it will pierce you to the heart, and cut you to the bone. The lukewarm party church does not have a two-edged sword. All they have is one sided butter knife. All it's good for is buttering you up. They only tell one side of scripture. It's a half-baked gospel that produces half baked, lukewarm Christians. 

These lukewarm concert hall is full of love, mercy, grace, blessings, goodness, and sweetness. But there's no talk of holiness. There's no fear of God. There's no judgment allowed. Never a mention of hellfire, or of repentance from dead works. The only time you hear about sin is when the word is accidentally stumbled upon during one of their motivational messages, and they run past it as quickly as they can. "There's that word sin again! Man you rarely hear that preached on anymore! Well sin just means that we miss the mark. And we miss the mark every day! Thank God for Jesus! Amen!" "Anyways merry Christmas! Make sure you donate as much as you can this year! God will bless you! Hallelujah!" 

What a rotten stench. What a disgusting odor. What a sickening nausea. No wonder this church is being projectile vomited out of Jesus' mouth. This preaching and these pastors are a disgrace in the eyes of God. And the people in all these mega churches are just as guilty! They love it this way! They love these soft diabetes inducing sugar filled messages that get them soaring on emotional highs. After the music, and the light show, and the motivational speech, I just feel so good I can't wait to go back next week! Wow!

Israel was a slave in Egypt. God delivers them setting them free, enriching them on their way out. Israel quickly forgets God and builds an idol of all their riches God gave them, instead of Him. They worship the blessing, not the one who gives it. They worship the material, mammon, and not God. All the while doing so in the name of the Lord! "To morrow is a feast to the Lord". God blessed them. And they stopped relying on Him. God provided for them, they have need for nothing, thus they grew fat in the flesh, while their faith and their spirit shriveled away and died.

Luke 2:34-35  And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
